Our Hub is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. If you are a pragmatic problem-solver, with a hands-on attitude, then this could be the job for you.
There are many ways to get involved at the Hub, from helping sort donations to displaying and selling items, as well as welcoming and engaging with our visitors.
As our work takes place on DCC-owned land, all volunteers are required to complete a police check and provide a valid vaccine pass prior to starting.
Time commitments are flexible — from as little as three hours a month to a regular weekly role. We welcome people who bring positive energy, care about their community, and are passionate about making a positive environmental impact.
Volunteers can get involved in community events, education activities, and occasional working bees throughout the year.
Roles are casual, social, and well supported, with connection and teamwork at the heart of everything we do.
Time commitment: Casual — typically 3–4 times per year. Attendance at every event isn’t expected, though participation in at least two per year is appreciated.
We're especially keen to hear from members of our community about their own initiatives and ways that they can support Zero Waste and Waste Minimisation. If you've got an idea - we can support. After all, we're here to make things happen!
You're interested in volunteering with us - great! We're a friendly, practical, down-to-earth bunch. You'll love it!
