The people who make OneCoast run are predominately volunteers living in our community who have a keen interest in environmentalism, recycling, waste minimisation and zero waste

OneCoast is run by volunteers. We have a OneCoast Committee with currently 8 hard working volunteers that meets monthly to discuss financing, operational and governance issues. Committee members support the Hub team not only by doing all the background work, but also by managing the employees, liasing with the Dunedin City Council and so much more.
We have one paid part-time Coordinator who puts in funding applications, organises Hub rosters, promotes events, coordinates volunteers, sells things on trademe and works at the Hub two days a week. We also have a casual supervisor who is in charge on one of the Hub shifts.
The Hub is run by a dedicated team of fantastic volunteers, who volunteer their time, energy and creativity to make the Hub a beautiful space for our community. Their job is to accept donations sort them into 'free items' and 'sale items', display them, sell them, tidy up, help our visitors find the things they are after and bring their good energy!
Keen to get involved? Volunteering with OneCoast is a great way to connect with your local community and make a real difference in our environment at the same time.
